Re: Check In *****

Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful villa. Everything is very fine, thank you. The villa driver is so useful in so many ways and has an excellent skill of knowing when to do what. He has been of outstanding use for us. I think the spot you chose for the villa is very well decided. I'm happy we chose to stay here.

Absolutely perfect....*****

It is hard to believe holiday accommodation could possible get better than this.... We holidayed with another family (4 adults and 4 teenagers). Our transfer from Seminyak was a breeze. Sumerta, our driver, was fantastic. We were met by the wonderful staff at Villa Banyan. Exploring the wonderful villa was a real eye-opener. The villa was just amazing....easily the best accommodation we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Being half an hour drive from the restaurants in Lovina, did not prove a problem. We chose to eat in a few nights with great food prepared by Ariani, and ask Sumerta to drive us into Lovina other nights. The care shown by the staff was perfect.....nothing is too much trouble. The views, the pool, the gardens.....incredible....

For a Bali holiday, just a bit of the tourist trail, we could not recommend Villa Banyan more highly.

Villa Banyan *****

From the very first email enquiry to the very last minute of our stay in this Villa I can only rate as a five star experience.   My emails to the owner were answered promptly and thoroughly.  From our pick up location in Seminyak and the transfer to Banyan villa through to our outings with Sumarta went brilliantly well.  A man with such knowledge and information on what to do and where to go.   The villa was always kept brilliantly clean by Ariani and  Suriyana.  They were always there to greet us with a smile and can do attitude.  Nothing was too hard for them.   Ariani's cooking was so very, very good we found it difficult to go out for dinner.  Tasty meals by a wonderful lady.  The gardens at this villa are beautifully kept and the secure feeling that you have someone looking after you each night gives you peace of mind.  The views take your breath away and the bales are wonderful for getting away and losing yourself in a good book.  The infinity pool is always clean and a welcome sight.

I have been to Bali many, many times over the last 15 years and Villa Banyan is one of the best Bali has to offer. Highly recommended and would give some resorts a good run for their money.  Definitely going back.

Best vacation ever! *****

We stayed at this beautiful villa with another couple and our 4 kids. The place is situated in Umeanyar, a small village near Seririt, approximately 15 minutes from Lovina, the touristic center of the area. Over the last years we have regularly stayed in North of Bali, because it is less crowded with tourists when compared to the south.

Upon arrival late in the evening we were warmly greeted with a cold towel and a fresh juice. The manager introduced us to the staff and showed us around the house explaining the facilities. We then had an excellent Balinese dinner and went to bed. We were totally stunned when we woke up next morning. Such a great location: Extraordinary views over rice fields and the nearby ocean, and a beautiful tropical garden on different levels all around the villa. Especially great was the fact that the villa is set really private with no buildings blocking the view, like a small castle on a hill. The house staff Ariani and Suryana prepared our breakfast, which we enjoyed by the pool. I know, on vacation it tastes always better, but the banana pancakes were the best I´ve ever had. During our stay the cook did all our shopping and made us tasty Balinese dishes for lunch and dinner. She also could do western dishes for the kids, but the grown-ups preferred her local cooking. With the staff around it was a bit like being in a 5 star hotel with Butler Service, but without the other guests, totally private,… just great. It´s hard though when you get back home and have to do everything yourself again.

The villa has a big infinity pool and at the end of the pool you can sit in the corners, half under water and sip a drink while enjoying great views over the tropical garden and the nearby ocean. In the evenings we were listening to the relaxing sound of crickets and frogs, sipping from our Bintan on the dinner terrace, while the kids were upstairs in the lounge playing Lego star wars on a PS3(?). It is also vacation for them, right? We very much enjoyed the ensuite bathrooms, which were partly inside, partly outside and had a private little gardens with weeping water walls. Also our bedrooms were very stylish with natural teakwood furniture and huge beds and pieces of Balinese art. What was really nice was to have the car and driver ready for us to go shopping, on a tour, or in a restaurant if we wanted to.  Although I am a little embarrassed to admit that the Villa felt so nice that this year we didn´t make much sightseeing in Bali. We stayed a lot “at home” in this beautiful place and relaxed. Overall a great, if not my best vacation so far. The owners have really created a small piece of heaven, thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. We will definitely be back…

 Unforgettable experience! *****

My husband and I spent 5 nights at villa banyan while on our honeymoon in Bali. We had the most amazing time and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The only regret we had was not staying longer!

The villa is absolutely spectacular- beautifully furnished with an incredible infinity pool. The views over the ocean and rice paddies are simply amazing and provide wonderful opportunities for sunset and sunrise viewing.

The staff at the villa are all extremely accommodating and friendly and helped to make our stay the memorable experience that it was.

We stayed in 5 star resorts and hotels during our time in Bali but villa banyan surpassed all of them.

 We will definitely return!

Can it get better? Hard to believe!! *****

At arrival we were picked up by our extremely friendly and pleasant balinese driver in a brandnew luxury van, who both would accompany and drive us safely for the next 2 weeks. After a approx. 3h picturesque drive through the wonderful balinese countryside, through rice-fields, mountains and old volcanos, stopping whenever you wished to take a photo or a rest at a restaurant, we arrived at the villa, indeed not exaggerating, deserving the description of a tastefully furnished luxury villa, followed by a hearty welcome of all the staff, who would accompany us over the next 2 weeks. There was no wish the staff would not try to fulfill.  The cuisine was superb, the house always kept very tidy and protected by a security guard over night. Have we already mentioned the location and view of the house? It is fantastic! Located on a hill, having a 180 degrees panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding fields. In the morning and evenings you can hear the hindu prayers and the muezzin from the nearby villages - this in combination with the beautiful, for a north european, very exotic countryside, makes this experience surrealistic. We enjoyed it every morning and evening and felt like in another world.  The location of the house in Serririt is perfect to get away from the masses of tourists in the south, which we fortunately only encountered on arrival and departure. It is a perfect starting point to discover real Bali, whether you travel to nearby Serririt, Lovina or Singaraja, along the north coast or drive up to the extinct volcano mountains. A must to do are a snorkeling tour to nearby menjangan island (1hr drive) and a guided excursion through nearby jungle and rice fields (3 hr walk including lunch). Information for these tours are provided in the house or by the manager. Unforgettable for us will be a balinese dance and music show (gamelan) at the house (can be organized by the staff at your discretion).

The question is not whether you should go to this property - but when!

ITS A JAW DROPPER "WOW" *****

'WOW' this villa is amazing... the minute you arrive and walk through the door the views are breath taking. There are ocean views left to right when you walk through to the pool area. The accommodation is wonderful and very clean. The villa has been tastefully decorated and is very well appointed, from the furnishings to the PS4 for the kids!

The bedrooms are terrific- all with their own private bathrooms. It is a great family villa that caters for all ages and the owners have done a good job ensuring this is the case. My wife and I stayed in the lower bedroom overlooking pool and our daughter stayed in the bedroom next to us which has an interconnecting door to our room, thus making our daughter feel secure. Our other daughter and her partner were in the top bedroom overlooking the ocean and mountain views. This villa gives you a complete sense of relaxation and you feel safe knowing that you have staff at hand for your every need. Arianai will cook at your request from true Balinese style meals and a western type menu as well. Syriani the housekeeper assists Ariani prepare meals and these two work very well together and are very good at what they do. Overall, the staff are very polite and greet you with lovely smiles every day and made our stay unforgettable.

Our driver Komeng was very professional, very polite and also greeted you with smiles. Nothing was ever a problem for him and you felt safe with him driving you to where you wanted to go. Thank you Komeng for getting us around safely. The gardeners and security guys Andi, Agus and Komeng do a great job. The  gardens look lovely and the fact that you have a security guard at night looking after the place gives you peace of mind too-thank you! Thank you also to villa manager Ketut (who we have dealt with before in another villa) for being very helpful. Ketut is very professional and very knowledgable with the area and is a great guy and friend!

I would like to thank every one for making this holiday a very special one for my family and myself and if anyone is thinking of booking this villa you will be guaranteed an unforgettable stay.

An extraordinary home and vacation experience! *****

Villa Banyan in the northern coast of Bali is an extraordinary vacation experience.  Our family of five stayed for one week and had the most peaceful, relaxing, beautiful vacation imaginable.  The house itself is exceptional--and brand new.  No expense has been spared anywhere--quality towels and bedding, gorgeous pool furniture and dining areas, beautifully crafted teak doors and beds.  The wifi and AC work very well everywhere.

But more important than the furnishings and luxurious baths and toiletries (hand blended for house guests) is the overall experience.  There is a staff of helpful, caring, professional people attending to your every need.  The driver, Komang, is a gem.  He picked us up (in the house's brand-new, luxury van) from Amed in the east coast of Bali and brought us to this marvelous spot.  He then invited us to a ceremony at the temple next door with his familiy, even bringing his wife's and kids' sarongs for us to wear.  We attended with him and met the families of other staff from the house as well. It was an unforgettable experience. There is also a house manager, a cook, a butler and others who make the stay as luxurious as a five-star hotel.  The views all around the property are just serene: rice paddies like emerald fields stretching out to the ocean beyond.  From the house you can walk down to the ocean to a black sand but swimmable, calm beach where there is also a diving school.  But really you'll probably just stay at the house and lounge around one of the most beautiful pools I've ever seen: 3 levels from shallow to deep with beautiful Balinese tiles and crystal-clear water.  I can't say enough about this place.  I went around taking photos on our last night when the house was lit up like a jewel and began to cry, realizing that perhaps our family would never stay in a place so special, so full of family time and togetherness and real beauty.  Thanks for sharing it with us, Thomas.

Dining tips: Walk down the beach to a beautiful restaurant at Ganesha Coral Villas.  They'll set up a table for you on the beach or next to their rice fields.  Have Komang take you for fresh grilled fish at two warungs on the road to Lovina Beach: Ikan Lese Han (perhaps the best piece of fish I have ever had) and one whose name now escapes me but where Komang takes his family.  Little stilted bales right on the beach with nothing but fresh fish.
